We are looking for Locum Orthopaedic Surgeon to join our highlyregarded team of 13 permanent Orthopaedic Specialists for a fixed termappointment.
We are happy to consider options from 6 to 18 months induration.
The Orthopaedic service provides for the management of major injuries andfractures at Wellington Regional Hospital and treatment of injuries,congenital, infective, degenerative and malignant disorders of themusculoskeletal system at Wellington and Kenepuru Hospitals.
We provide a regionaltertiary service for patients with complex major trauma, revision jointreplacement, spinal disorders, scoliosis, paediatric and hand surgery.
Whilethe role is for a General Orthopaedic Surgeon there will be a focus on hip andknee arthroplasty.
You will pride yourself on providing a high standard of clinical practiceand expertise to the patients under your care. The successful candidate will bea team player and clear communicator, willing to assist with the supervisionand instruction of junior medical staff within the Orthopaedic service.
To be considered for this position you must hold FRACS in Orthopaedics,or equivalent, and hold, or be eligible to hold, Vocational (specialist)Registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
