Job Description :
The Housekeeping Team Leader is a senior member of the housekeeping team. Reporting to the leadership team of the housekeeping department the team leader is able to fulfil all hotel cleaning responsibilities independently or with limited assistance and is also able to assist with training and supporting new team members.
The Housekeeping Team Leader will assist with maintaining a consistent standard of cleanliness and service across all areas of guest accommodation, public areas and resort facilities in line with hotel standards (including the Hermitage, Mt Cook Lodge & Motels, Chalets, and some staff accommodation).
Key responsibilities include :
Carrying out all cleaning tasks as designated within required time frames
Ensuring all guest accommodation is serviced daily in line with hotel standards
Ensuring all daily tasks within the department are completed
Conducting thorough and detailed inspections of all vacant rooms
Assisting with training and supporting new team members
Resolving any guest complaints as and when required within limits of delegated authority
Given the remote location of work, it is expected that from time to time the housekeeping team leader may assist other departments in various roles.
Our ideal candidate will bring :
Previous experience in housekeeping as a self-checker at a minimum
Excellent attention to detail
Strong organisational skills and ability to work under pressure
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
