WhītikiMaurea is a Māori clinical service within the Waitemata DHB District MentalHealth Services Division. We provide clinical care in mental health andaddictions with a Mātauranga Māori (values andconcepts) approach.
TeĀtea Marino (Alcohol and Drug Team) is now recruiting an AODClinician.
TeĀtea Marino offers brief high quality interventions, usually in a group format,to tangata whai i te ora aged 13 upwards.
We can also offer individual andwhānau sessions. We like to go beneath the superficial presenting problems toaddress core issues around identity and connection.
We prefer to use a wānangabased and whānau focussed approach that enables tangata whai i teora to emerge with enhanced mana and rangitiratanga.
Youwill be based in Manukau, but will have the opportunity to work offsite atmarae, probation, prison and educational establishments.
Weare looking for a dynamic and motivated individual who works well in ateam.
Wewant to employ a DAPAANZ Registered AOD Clinician, but would be willing toconsider other relevant qualifications if you have a history of working with people withaddictions.
You will also need to show that you are working towards culturalcompetence, and have an awareness of the Takarangi Competency Framework.
Clinical and cultural training / supervision will be provided.
