Your challenge

A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Field Service Engineer specialising in X-Ray, MRI and Ultrasound with a willingness to expand into more modalities .

The position covers the Auckland and Northland region of New Zealand, ideally based Auckland . This is a critical customer facing role primarily responsible for maintaining and developing strong customer relationships and providing expert technical advice and hands-

on maintenance, installation and support of our medical equipment (both hardware & software) in line with our regulations, policies and procedures.

You will be joining a talented, committed and customer focused team of professional field service engineers.

Responsibilities also include :

  • Working collaboratively with the wider NZ and ANZ organisation to provide best in class support to our customers. Services include corrective and preventative maintenance, commissioning and installation, and upgrades of imaging equipment.
  • Actively participating in the sales process and providing expert technical support throughout the entire life cycle of our customer relationships (from pre-
  • sales through to implementation and post-sales support).

  • Determining most cost effective repair / solution to minimise customer downtime.
  • Taking the lead in managing and supporting technical escalations through to resolution ensuring all stakeholders are continually updated of progress according to the company process.
  • Maintaining a high level of knowledge through continual training and development and keeping up to date with new technologies relevant to your area of focus.
  • We are looking for

    To be successful in this role, you will ideally have a degree level education or equivalent in Electronics, Electrical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering with experience (3+ years) in a customer facing service engineering background within medical equipment industry.

    Current NZ Electrical (EST A & B) and Radiation Safety Licence are desired. Experience working with comparable medical equipment will be highly regarded, as will strong IT / networking / DICOM skills.

    Additionally, you will have strong interpersonal skills, with an open and honest communication style. You will have a proven ability to work in a fast paced environment, thinking and acting clearly under pressure, and be flexible to travel within NZ and occasionally internationally.
