About the opportunity

Jacobs' Integrated Project Services division is a quality provider ofProject Management services to public and private sector clients across a rangeof markets including Transport Infrastructure, Buildings Design and Services,Power & Energy, Water & Environment and others.

As a PM you will beexposed to a wide range of technically challenging projects and be trained andmentored to assume responsibility for the management and coordination ofengineering, design, commissioning, quality, health and safety, finance andadministration, and cost and schedule activities of projects.

Key work areas of the role will include :

  • Working as part of a local and national PM consulting team on a diverse range of projects
  • Provide specialist PM and possibly engineering input depending on your degree background, to existing and new clients across all market sectors
  • Monitor and report on project progress using Jacobs processes
  • Manage stakeholders, time and cost control to ensure projects are delivered within budget
  • This is a Christchurch-based position and we are ideally looking forlocal candidates due to the urgency to fill.

    The successful candidate will :

  • Have a tertiary qualification in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering or related discipline
  • Have more than 5 years’ relevant experience, preferably in a consultancy environment
  • Hold a clean, valid driver’s licence
  • Have a good understanding of NZS3910 & associated contracts
  • Possess strong leadership skills
