The successful applicant will need to have proven experience in flower bulbs and attention to detail in preparing, planting, growing and harvesting are necessary to complement the high level of crop monitoring to achieve excellence in quality and yield to maintain our export position.
Planning and coordinating the crop production in the factory and maintaining optimal production conditions.
Planning and coordinating the growing process of flower bulbs from soil preparation to harvest taking into account environmental factors.
Determine staffing requirements and assigning specific duties to assure the quality standards.
Manage, train and motivate staff in the factory and the field.
Inspecting and maintaining production equipment and farm buildings.
Conferring with management to report quality and productivity improvements.
Experience in the agricultural industry in regards to the growing and processing of Lily Bulbs.
Profound computer skills in order to process production and growing data.
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with the Head Office in the Netherlands.
Operate vehicles and plant machinery in accordance with best safety practices.
Undertake at appropriate times preventive maintenance of vehicles and plant machinery.
Be competent at related workshop skills to effect minor and everyday repairs.
Ability to work under pressure but still harmoniously alongside others.
Good communication and management skills
Honest, hardworking and reliable
Commitment to working long hours (approximately 45 hours per week and over 10 hours a day at peak times) during the processing season
Working experience for at least 3 years with processes involved in producing flower bulbs.
A qualification in agriculture / horticulture
Clean Full driving licence
Pass a drug test
