Store Managers will have led large teams of 100+ staff with 4 or more direct reporting managers while working with sales in excess of $30M per year.

The Store Manager ensures that there is a positive store culture where customer service is a priority, managing the financial performance of the store, promoting strong leadership by coaching and developing the management team and team members and ensuring plans and strategies are effectively employed to increase sales and reduce expenses.

With the focus on improving the in-store experience, they provide clear direction to the management team to enhance the store environment and ensure we are the number one discount department store for Australasian customers.

  • To be successful in securing a great opportunity in our New Zealand regions, you will ideally possess full capabilities across the following;
  • Managing the overall financial performance of a large format retail / big-box store
  • Ensure plans and strategies are effectively employed to increase sales
  • Implement strategies to reduce shrinkage and expenses
  • Provide clear direction to the management team
  • Enhance the store environment to ensure Kmart is the number one discount department store for Australasian customers
  • Undergo implementation and supporting of LEAN practices
  • Your track record influencing and negotiating with key decision makers will coincide with your strong leadership and relationship building skills combined with demonstrated experience in driving sales and building customer loyalty.
