  • A recognizable brand that manufactures some well- known health and personal care products seeks an experienced Cost Accountant.

    The Role :

    You will be required to deliver on the cost accounting function and manage the process of costing WIP and finished goods as well as preparation of accurate product costing, provide analysis and evaluation costs, production monitoring, assist in the implementation of an accurate costing method for new commercial products.

    Analytically focused you will also deliver on detailed analysis of Cost of Goods Sold & Standard Costs as well as preparation of weekly gross margin reports

    Part of the function will be to get active and be involved at factory level, investigating and identifying new ways to improve processes including preparation of weekly & monthly management reporting.

    Part of the function will be to support the Head of Finance to prepare accurate and timely monthly reports, inclusive of financial and operational KPIs as well as support the Accounting function in the delivery of accounting of Revenue, Cost of Goods Sold and Inventory.

    Who you are :

    You will have a relevant degree in Business Finance, with 5 years’ experience working within the Manufacturing industry preparing and analysing costs, variance analysis and working on month end.

    This role reports directly to the Finance lead and requires the candidate to have an excellent knowledge base in costing.

    As part of the above you will need to demonstrate above average skills and this could either be at the start of your career or you maybe be well embedded into this area already.

    Showing tenacity and eagerness to grow with the finance team with confidence and resilience are the key items that will aid you in being the chosen candidate.

    The role will utilise your knowledge of operational & supply chain processes, on the Inventory management aspect you will partner with manufacturing to establish and maintain demand planning and production forecasting system for the purposes of sales forecasts and inventory reporting.

    Ensure accuracy of stock-takes and prepare reconciliation to the balance sheet and ensure accuracy of item cost held in inventory.

    Ideally, we are looking for an individual who is experienced in financial modelling & analysis, financial modelling on what if" scenarios, adhoc financial analysis & industry bench marking.

    Maintaining of financial forecast models and assist with the preparation of business cases & NPV analysis

    ERP knowledge on Microsoft Dynamics AX or similar would be highly beneficial
