Do you want the opportunity to work on a boat in one of the most beautiful places on the planet and share your stunning surroundings with visitors from all over the world?
We require additional crew members that have a strong hospitality background, a passion for people and the outdoors, and can proactively deliver great service and customer engagement.
As a part of this team you could be doing up to 3 trips per day, so we're looking for someone who's not afraid to work hard.
Your typical shift would be ten days on followed by four days off. You would be based in the Milford Sound Village, in our subsidised accommodation with other Real Journeys staff.
We are looking for someone that is energetic, proactive and self-motivated to create activities outside of work time so is able to thrive in the community environment.
On your days on you'll be working on the vessel with the rest of the crew including a Launch Master, Chefs and a Team Leader.
Working on all of our vessels is varied. As a part of the team you will be busy assisting passengers, preparing and serving meals and drinks, and also cleaning the vessel in between trips.
You'll be involved in the loading and unloading of supplies so it'll be important that you are fit and capable of heavy lifting and enjoy being out on the water.
Most importantly you'll be a lively team player who enjoys getting in, being engaged with customers and doing what's required to ensure the best experience for everyone on-board.
A full induction and dedicated training when you start and the opportunity to attain Maritime Crew Qualifications provides you with all you need to jump into your new role in one of the most unique work environments in New Zealand.
This is a Full Time, Fixed Term position from October through until May, 2019 so if you enjoy the idea of living in a close-
knit community and you are excited by a high energy, yet remote environment then being a part of this team is for you!
